How To Tone Your Hair

What You’ll Need:

A Toner Kit of your choice.
Each Toner Kit includes:
1 x Cool Hair Colour
1 x No Lift Developer
1 x Applicator Bottle

Step 1: Mix Your Toner

In the Applicator Bottle, mix equal parts Colour and No Lift Developer—this means using either the full bottle of Developer and squeezing the full tube of Colour, or half of each if you’re doing a smaller touch-up. Secure the lid tightly, then shake until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 2: Apply the Toner

Starting with dry, sectioned Hair, apply the Toner mixture where your Hair needs it most—typically your roots or mid-lengths where it’s Warmest and Brassiest. Once the roots are done, work the Toner through to the ends, gently massaging it in for even coverage.

Step 3: Watch the Magic Happen

After your Hair is fully coated, keep an eye on your Colour as it develops. Check by scraping back a section to see the progress. When you’ve reached your perfect tone, rinse it out. Leave the Toner on for up to 20 minutes, but if your Hair is extra brassy or you're aiming for an ultra-Cool finish, leave it for 5-10 extra minutes for more intense Toning.
