At the beginning of the year we named the Amber Brunette as a Hair Colour we were going to be seeing a lot of this year and since then we’ve seen a stampede of Amber hues coming at us like families running in at the opening of the Aldi ski sale.
And it is easy to see why Amber Shades are such a hit. Not to settle on Copper or Gold or Red or Auburn or Chestnut, this Amber family is all those hues with varying adjustments of intensity and subtle changes of Lightness.
As you’d expect from this blurred line of Warming Colour pigments, the glow from the Ambers is enormous, its impact unmissable and, as the Amber is a family of Colours rather than one individual Shade, means the variety available presents an exciting Colour choice that is easily modifiable for your personal tastes and skin-tones.
Now If I haven’t grabbed you yet, I don’t know that I will, and for the rest of you who are tickled Amber by these Colours, I give you 4 Amber Shades below.
Chocolate Amber Blonde
Colour Ratio: 75/25 (3/4 7.53 Chocolate Blonde and 1/4 8.44 Intense Copper Blonde).
For a touch of Amber without the veracity seen in other Amber Shades, the Chocolate Amber Blonde comes through with that smooth, healthy glow. Featuring a strong Dark Blonde base that is Warmed with sparkling Golden Chocolate reflects and a subtle Copper russet haze — the Chocolate Amber Blonde delivers the perfect amount of Warmth and Intensity for a bold Hair Colour statement.
Dark Amber Blonde
Colour Ratio: 50/50 (1/2 5.3 Golden Brown and 1/2 8.44 Intense Copper Blonde).
The Dark Amber Blonde is like a Strawberry Blonde, just Darker. With an equally proportioned, double punch of Gold and Copper it can do nothing but Warm your Hair, diminishing any dullness in its wake. And with an intriguing amount of depth, delivers the perfect level of Darkness for a radiant and energising Hair Colour.
